    Who is Satoshi Nakamoto?

    By | Explained | 0 comment | 26 February, 2018 | 1

Have you ever heard of the name Satoshi Nakamoto? If you have, then you must be one of the many avid players in the cryptocurrency world. They say he/she/it is (or they are) the one who’s behind Bitcoin and its formulation.

It’s amazing to talk about a name that sounds like a real person but is actually just coined for an unknown identity. And even when Bitcoin started booming all over the world, the real person or people behind the name have yet to be revealed.

Let us try and find out who Satoshi Nakamoto is. How has he made a name for himself while his identity continues to be a top secret? What meaning does this secrecy send out?

    The History of the Name

Satoshi Nakamoto designed the very first block chain technology that has now grown into billions worth of digital assets. It basically broke all barriers and it made an unbelievable change in tons of market places globally.

The blockchain technology was previously unimaginable. Perhaps it was even regarded as “the future” just three years ago. But now, thanks to Bitcoin’s initiatives, cryptocurrency has paved its way into finance enthusiasts’ digital experience.

Nakamoto started it all with the academic “white paper” describing the premise of digital currency in 2008. The following year, he released the first software that supported Bitcoin and its first units too.

Since this Nakamoto started formulating the system of Bitcoin back in 2008, experts in the US and Europe raved over his real identity.

    The Theories

Satoshi Nakamoto was presumed to be a 43-year-old man who lived in Japan, according to a profile from P2P Foundation. In another source, people were led to believe that he was in Los Angeles County, making a living in Temple City as a Computer Engineer.

Aside from the ones mentioned in these theories, there were also two other names that had been linked to this virtual mogul.

A 64-year old engineer from California by the name of Dorian Prentice Satoshi Nakamoto created a whole lot of buzz in the news back in 2014. He was alleged as the real founder of Bitcoin but he immediately and conclusively denied it.

What’s interesting is that a lot of newsmakers did not let go of him. They stood by the story that he was indeed what everybody’s been looking for.

And then came the name of Craig Steven Wright. This time, it wasn’t the people who theorized that he was Satoshi Nakamoto.

Wright was a 46-year old Australian scientist who claimed that he was Nakamoto through a blog post. He presented a series of evidence that shows he initiated the cryptocurrency concept. And although some of the proof can be counted as valid, there were no final statements given out.

Amidst all this mystery and obsession over who really founded Bitcoin, we are sure that Satoshi Nakamoto has done things wisely.  He is said to have stopped playing in the Bitcoin field even before the coins’ net worth has heightened in the past five years.

Crypto experts believe he has already mined millions of Bitcoins before the value went up. He didn’t use up these blocks in any currency exchange as well, so that no one could identify him.

This kind of secrecy sends out a certain level of curiosity and gets more people going. A lot of publicists keep on guessing and writing about him and the players who came after him had to continue growing it.

No one knows the real reason why he is keeping a secret identity, but Bitcoin is indeed getting more publicity out of it.
